Is there a free trial?
Yes — the Bookings Suite is free for your first 30 days if you’ve never held it before. Your card is taken at sign-up, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and from then it’s $25 a month unless you cancel first. Add the Directory Listing and it’s free for the same 30 days, then $40 all in. One trial per tutor; the flat 5% on lessons paid through us still applies.
What do I actually get for $25 a month?
The whole Bookings Suite: online booking calendar, card payments at the rate you set, student messaging, the video classroom with its shared whiteboard, phone-calendar sync and automatic reminders.
Do I have to be listed?
No. The Directory Listing is optional and adds $15 to the $25. The Bookings Suite works on its own.
Will students find me if I only pay the $25?
Not through us. Without the listing you aren't in Find a tutor or on the subject pages — you bring your own students, and we run the desk for them. Add the Directory Listing ($15 a month) and, once you're verified, families searching the directory we advertise find you.
Do I have to use your classroom?
No. Each lesson can use our room, your own Zoom, Meet or Teams link, or an address for in-person teaching. Set per lesson, not per account.
What do you take from each lesson?
5% of lessons paid through the platform; you keep 95%. Arrange payment with a student directly and we take nothing.
What does it cost my students?
Nothing. Students and parents pay only for their lessons. Browsing and messaging tutors is free.
What do I need before I can start?
Photo ID and your qualifications for verification. Australian tutors also need a Working With Children Check.
Can I cancel?
Any time. There's no lock-in and no exit fee.
